OUR HISTORY

The International Gospel Center Flint began nearly forty years ago under the leadership of the late Apostle Charles O. Miles of the International Gospel Center in Ecorse, Michigan.  In the late 1960’s he began running revivals in Flint, Michigan on Mississippi Avenue. Many individuals in the community would attend those anointed revivals, including Sister Leola Richardson and her husband, Reverend Jessie Richardson.

After Sister Richardson’s husband passed in 1978, God put Reverend Miles on her heart.  She called Reverend Miles to set up a meeting with him and his wife, Sister Luvenia Miles, regarding the use of her church building. They came up with an agreement that they would have services at the small quaint church on Bundy Street. Pastor Miles traveled to Flint to minister and run revivals.  As time went on, the church grew and soon was officially turned over to Pastor Miles and became the International Gospel Center of Flint church.

After the passing of Apostle Charles O. Miles, his son, Marvin N. Miles, took over the leadership of the International Gospel Center.  Pastor Marvin Miles saw the need for a pastor at the Flint branch.  He sought the Lord for a pastor and was led to appoint Evangelist Gillie Harris Jr..

Pastor Harris continues to seek the will of God concerning the church and God’s people.  The church, now located at G-4126 Fenton Road, is reaching souls beyond its four walls through ministries such as Prison Outreach, Soldiers 4 Christ Community Outreach Program, Praise Dance ministry and more.  The International Gospel Center Flint continues its foundation as being a deliverance ministry and a church “Designed with You in Mind!”
